What length is stubble and when is it classed a beard?

Productivity is the key to keeping this fragile economy running and yet I know of four people who are sat around debating the maximum length stubble can reach before it turns into a beard...

I knew there is only one place to turn to in this instance. If not for me, answer it for the sake of our economy...

I shall throw in a counterproposal:

The hair upon a man's face that is not his eyebrows, eyelashes or nasal hair is his beard. Length is no consideration. When a silk garment is thrown at that face, if it sticks then he has stubble (or the silk garment is in dire need of laundering).
 
4.5mm? That's nigh on a furlong, isn't it?

For me, two days' growth is stubble, anything over 2mm is beard.

Pig Cat's plums must be back at beard by now, wouldn't you think?

That was a religious gibe not a racist one.

Anyway there is an albino Muslim that walks past my place 5 times a day.
I call him snowball and he calls me honkey...and oh how we laugh together at our witticism.
