Now that I have learnt how to use properly to get the best lather, it is boar hands down for me. Size wise, I have a 26 cm Zenith that I love as this seems to be the sweet spot for me. I do really like a Yaqi silvertip I have (24 but seems bigger) and my synthetics, especially for creams but boar is the winner for me - with a preference for unbleached.

Even though I say I prefer my 3 boar brushes, I have just counted and realised I have somehow accumulated 11 brushes in total in quite a short space of time. And I am still considering getting a horse hair brush to complete the collection and then that will definitely be it.... well, a pause, for now at least....

I was surprised to see when I cast my vote that synthetics came top on 43%. Compared with their early days synthetics have improved massively. I still enjoy my badger brushes but also occasionally use Yaqi and Simpson synthetics. Mentioning Simpsons, are they still banned from Badger and Blade? I got a life ban back in the day but still pop in there occasionally.
