What is the best cartridge/disposable razor system of all time?

Somebody please toss this cartridge razor topic in the bloody FIRE!!

Bloody cartridge razor!!
They have a very valid place in shaving.

I have a Gillette Fusion 5 and use it when i need a quick shower shave or fast top-up shave - its bloody brilliant for that and i wouldn't even consider using a DE to replace it for that purpose.

I Love taking time for a proper relaxed DE shave, but life gets in the way and its not always possible.

Sounds like you're in a hurry, shaving your hairy chest, arms and hairy legs.................................... and also your hairy crotch!

Sooooo.......... You've been using your favourite vibrator for a very long time, you're sure you're not bloody bored. ;)

You better stay down in your rabbit hole.

I only use the normal version. Had a shave with a new one today and it was the smoothest and closest shave I've had since I went to DE shaving.
No rash, no nics and super-duper-smooth.
I recall a post a few weeks ago, by someone on here who said he went back to cartridge shaving and left all this DE stuff behind lol

imo, the "Power" option makes no difference whatsoever to the shave performance of the Fusion 5 range.

Neither do the various glide strips and "micro" this and that comb variations.

I just buy the cheapest genuine Fusion 5 carts i can find and only from a vendor with size or provenance, as i understand there are lots of fakes out there.

Fusion 5 (or a decent cartridge system) has a place in my shaving regime, so i will always keep some sort of cartridge system alongside my DE razors and blades.

I am currently using the Kai Auger, it provides a really smooth shave. However, it's only comfortable on a days growth, so you need a DE/SE or Stubble Eraser for the first pass. Somehow, I have lot's of Bic razors, but I never use them. Normally, I find them a bit tuggy but the Flex 5 is a very comfortable razor, especially if using the system razor instead of the disposable.I used it today to take off 3 days worth of growth. It performed excellently.

I find the Lidl / Morrisons twin blade disposables excellent. nice and sharp so smooth shavers with no tugging. not as good as a DE shave but great for travelling with or quick, mild shaves. they last for at least four head shaves for me unlike other disposables that are done after two or three max. they pivot and have a bit of a lube strip.

I've seen identical supermarket branded ones abroad too like in Spain. made in Vietnam so maybe they're made by dorco for various supermarkets? there's only a couple of companies with blade factories in Vietnam.

BIC sensitive single blades didn't work for me. not sharp enough and too tuggy. Mach3 are just ok. haven't tried anything more modern.

I've got some trac ii and Gillette guard to get to trying out but these twin blades are great for something easily obtainable locally. 12p a cartridge is similar to some DE blade so not as extortionate as 5 blades cartridges.
