Yeah, I get that, but thats just the shavette part tho right? Where does the straight razor part come in?It's a thing that looks like a straight razor but holds a disposable blade so you don't need to strop or hone it.
Shavette is a German trademark used for various products most recently Dovo.Yeah, I get that, but thats just the shavette part tho right? Where does the straight razor part come in?

I am using shavettes aka straight razors with disposable blades and I prefer the standard 40mm DE blades over the longer 60mm DE blades.

The "cut throat" bit refers to an open blade on your neck - not usually a term used for disposable blade shavette style razors, but I guess it sounds pirate-y, and the brand is Bluebeards Revenge.Cut throat means straight razor right?
And shavette means disposable blades?
I just ordered the bluebeards revenge cut throat shavette. Doesn't that mean that it is sharp like a straight razor but you can also use blades on them?
I'm kinda confused. Thanks in advance for any help.
Longer blades are cabinet blades.I am using shavettes aka straight razors with disposable blades and I prefer the standard 40mm DE blades over the longer 60mm DE blades.
