What I do when I'm bored

When I looked at the first one I thought you were doing something else to relieve the boredom.

Haha those photos are for an entirely different forum

Well done on the background lighting.

Thanks the background was a sheet of white semi opaque acrylic with flashes and coloured gels behind.

just bought myself a canon 70D and have been testing it out at a recent wedding and reception, really impressed with the pictures. Yours looks superb though do you use a particular lens or focus option?

Can't remember which lens I used for these ones I'll have to check Lightroom but it would have been either my sigma 100mm macro or my Nikon 24-70mm. I always use manual focus for these I use a ruler laid flat over a Perspex tank and move it till the drops hit the ruler noting where it hits. I then place a screw vertically on that spot and manually focus on the screw. I also use an exposure of around 2-3 seconds in a darkened room and trigger the flashes so it is the speed of the flash that captures the image not a fast shutter speed.

Great looking shots love the subject matter no two photo's can ever be the same that's something I find very interesting, may have a go creating something similar myself.
