What do you call this ?

We call them softies up here don't ask me why.

Originating from that area of Scotland myself, I used to call them softies too until I moved to the Glasgow area. Glasgow rolls, as standard, are chewy/crispy rolls just called rolls. when I visit up north, I call them softies again as they tend to be softer and not crusty/crispy.

Not to be confused with Aberdeen rolies (butteries) either.

Thats not a sub, a sub is a longer, baguette like thing usually around 6-12" in length and more often than not toasted somehow.

The item in the picture is a breadbun!

Always know that as a Bap, either back in Hampshire or here in Devon. Did buy some today and labelled up sure enough as Baps. And boy do I like to get my hands on a nice pair of Baps..... but that gents is another matter !!!
