Hello,

Is there any sciance behind a soap dish/bowl to mix up a lather eg shallow edges & wide top.At the moment I'm using a morter (as in pestle & morter).
What type of mug or bowl would be ok to use & do any of you use anything strange to lather up your cream/soaps?.

I use a Steve Woodhead pottery shaving bowl like this. It's a but lumpy on the inside which I think helps when making the lather.

If buying another one I would get one thats a bit shallower and fatter as I bang my brush on the inside from time to time.

I would second the recommendation for a Steve Woodhead bowl/mug/scuttle. When my first one broke (lost a fight with the sink) I had no hesitation in returning to Steve for a replacement:

steve woodhead for me too .have the bowl and a skuttle ,if i broke one would have to replace it with same .
