Don't forget - you're talking to a man that already has a pretty strong vintage collection. I'd like to add a Gillette Aristocrat (safety bar version) at some point and then it's complete.Type in "vintage safety razors" on the bay, the urge to buy is overwhelming!
You need a Shovelhead, yes, I said NEED!Don't forget - you're talking to a man that already has a pretty strong vintage collection. I'd like to add a Gillette Aristocrat (safety bar version) at some point and then it's complete.
Can't wait for the big reveal once you have restored it.
Where did you buy yours if you don't mine me asking .What knot do you have in plan for it?
I have a brush which I think might interest you for a donor knot.
26mm knot, with a 57mm loft.
Pictures taken after 5-6 shaves, no break in method, breaking in nicely. Quite a dense knot, the bristles are quite thin and the tips are very soft.
Can be bought for about £5-6 in the UK.

Paul.
Thank you.I bought mine from Goodfellas Smile in Italy but Shaving Time have it stock for £6.51, and they have a 10% coupon.
It has the same loft height as a 10066 style brush but with a wider knot, I think it performs a bit like a 10066 but with a bit more backbone.
Early days but I am liking it a lot so far.
Had one - gave it to a friend. I've opted for stainless GEM razorsYou need a Shovelhead, yes, I said NEED!
