Regardless of the model and if it's dyed or not I hope you are enjoying your boar brush, they are oftern overlooked imo, when broken in can be as soft as any fine badger brush, and represent great value for money.
Fantastic full stop my freind, just plain fantastic! Also boar brushes are stiffer than badger brushes because they hold more water in the bristles than badger, and best of all boar brushes are FANTASTIC for face lathering.
I love my 1305 I just wish they didn't dye the boar bristles to imitate badger, I love boar brushes, I don't want to pretend it's a badger......moan over....
Ha, yea I could never get my head around that!Same thing with vegetarian "sausages." What's all that about ?
I only use it a couple of times a week, in rotation, so still not broken in.Regardless of the model and if it's dyed or not I hope you are enjoying your boar brush, they are oftern overlooked imo, when broken in can be as soft as any fine badger brush, and represent great value for money.
Anywhere from two to six weeks of daily use, it's the wet / dry cycle that breaks them in so even if you don't use it, soak it for ten min in hot but not boiling water and then let it dry and do this as much as you can and this will speed things up.I only use it a couple of times a week, in rotation, so still not broken in.
Roughly how many weeks of shaving every day, give or take a week, to break in?
I know it's a, how longs s piece of string question, but ball park will do.

I always soak my brush while I'm taking a shower. I've just used it and it's definitely getting softer, not as soft as badger or horse but not scritchy and holds a bucket load of lather.Anywhere from two to six weeks of daily use, it's the wet / dry cycle that breaks them in so even if you don't use it, soak it for ten min in hot but not boiling water and then let it dry and do this as much as you can and this will speed things up.
(Just soak the bristles not the whole brush)
Yes, I'm sure you soak your brush before you use it, I was just suggesting soaking it even when you are using your badger brush just to speed things up, even if you don't use every day you can soak and dry it every day thus speeding up the breaking in periodI always soak my brush while I'm taking a shower.
