I finished #19 then moved onto #20
We had a long day Friday waiting for a late evening flight and a last day just chillin' so this book was a good distraction and finished just before we boarded our slightly late flight.
Onto the unfinished #21 (3 chapters) was finished on the flight.
Overall the series has been very enjoyable keeping me entertained for quite some time, I do think the last 3 books were missing some of the excitement of those before.
Will I read them again, most probably.

My favourite books. The benchmark reference for historical naval fiction and for me, the greatest and I’ve read many. Alexander Kent, Dudley Pope and of course, C.S. Forster. I’m sure I’m due another survey of Aubrey & Maturin’s adventures soon.

The brother Athelstan books are excellent, As for the two Ben Elton books,they are both superb, my personal favourites, both books complement each other wonderfully,the history research on both books is astoundingly good with added humour.Thanks Barry. I'd recommend 'Stark' by Ben Elton. His first novel I think? Late 80's. I re-read it recently and it was unbelievably prescient. I can't say why, as that would ruin the big reveal at the end. Just finished this. Enjoyed it hugely. I think Michael Connelly is my favourite author.
