What are you reading at the moment?

4 chapters in and i can’t put this book down. A true story of real courage & bravery.
i’m not normally a military book type of guy but this one caught my eye.
Lucky white heather as they say this guy has been through the mill.
Conscripted from his Town in Aberdeen then got sent to Singapore where he was captured by the japanese. Through torture & starvation he eventually got sent to build the bridge over the river kwai. After a few years there he managed to escape on a ship which eventually got torpedoed. from there he was floating aboard the south china sea to then get picked up by the japanese again only to be taken to Nagasaki where he witnessed the A bomb.
Never thought i would read a book like this but 2 dats in im half way through it.
Well worth the read
unless iv just read it to you lol.

I will give it a look once I have finished the book I have.
I work with a guy who's uncle wrote this book and I thoroughly recommend it.
It's not a heavy read but shows what one man's dedication to something can achieve.

The Forgotten Dead: The true story of Exercise Tiger, the disastrous rehearsal for D-Day

Having recently finished the excellent podcast, The Lazarus Heist, I have gone down a rabbit hole about cyber warfare & crimes. Countdown to Zero Day about the Stuxnet malware from the 2000/10s is a superb read. I'm not a techie, but able to follow along. Absolutely fascinating to hear how one nation can attack another using software
