Mate of mine, Pete, who used to play guitar as a session musician in one of the later incarnations of The Searchers, is pals with John Dymond who was Beaky. We were going to all meet up for lunch until Pete moved. That's my slender claim to fame for the day!

But live, his voice really holds up. And the advantage of seeing this band on their first proper tour toutingone album is you get some KILLER extended solos rather than crappy covers. Although their version of Let's Go Crazy is already a classic
