@jimmyc can't beat a bit of Oi to remove the tedium of hotel staysNope, fucking shit.
Thought they were good, a bit of an undertones sound at the beginning. Have not heard of the band but have heard of tes tckle. Or maybe a false memory.@jimmyc can't beat a bit of Oi to remove the tedium of hotel staysLast night's highlight was finding a new craft beer bar in Torquay and enjoying a pleasant lemon sour My mission for my 50th year is to get at least one gig a month in so off we go. Plus it's Fresher's Week in Southampton and NOTHING makes you feel older than going out to the pub with a load of students who are fresh faced and full of hope and vomiting after shots!
Ain't that the truth?! So far I've had 3 years of being 50 and they all sucked like a nuclear power Dyson. Desperate to go out and bounce around to some raucous bands and drink my age in pints (as the Specials sang, when they were considerably younger!)Totally agree, you tend to do less fun stuff as you get older and have to make an effort. But when you make the effort it is great.
I have free reign to go out to gigs as long as they don't impact on school, beavers, cubs, choir, band, swimming, my wife working away or "family time"Ain't that the truth?! Never had an issue gigging solo, never will. I've met some awesome long term friends at such gigs due to shared interests in the band etc. but happy to go, listen, dance/mosh if required and retreatSimilar here. I don't even have kids! It's not that the Mrs objects, it's just that I have a million things to sort out and rarely time to just go and see some bands. Plus all my mates are too far away or have too many commitments as well, so it has to be spur of the moment and therefore solo. Which is also OK tbf, so long as there is a band on that I might actually like!
Great movie.
Unreleased alternative version of the theme from Get Carter - this is just begging for some teenager with a MacBook Pro and a bag of weed to mix in some harsh and tasty beats.

Coincidentally I watched Get Carter yesterday. I have always loved it. Visited Blackhall Beach not too long ago - the spot where {spoiler alert
For those who haven't seen the film - this is the original opening. As @Radar says - a landscape that doesn't exist anymore. The book by Ted Lewis is definitely worth a read.

Did you notice the guy in the bar with six fingers? - I.Coincidentally I watched Get Carter yesterday.
