What are you eating tonight?

After many hospital stays in a few different venues I was resigned to mediocre food at best. One place could not even make white rice properly! Seriously, how do you screw that up?

Finally, after being admitted again in 2019 at this new to me hospital actually cared about how food tasted rather than going for strict nutritional value. Whew......made my extended visit so much better,
Prison???

My first ever Red Velvet Cake. I normally can't eat this due to Cochineal Carmine colouring allergy. This is very delicious...

Can't stand red velvet cake.

Huh!

I started writing that is was my favourite, but that's wrong ... coz I don't really like cake, ergo I cannot have a favourite. If questioned as to which cake I would like purchased when Mrs is nosing through those confectionaries, I'll say Red Velvet. Our local farm shop inherited a cafe with on-site bakery and patisserie ... and they now carry a rather nice Red Velvet.

... but I had a slice of rather nice Simnel Cake this evening (as we had our main meal as a late lunch), which puts me in mind for a marzipan croap shave tomorrow. Vitos, I think.
