Tell her those critters eat plants and turn it into meat, so by eating meat you're getting your veggies! ;)

You can put those on a bun with some spaghetti sauce and have a meatball sub. (y)

Harissa Chicken
 
Yesterday I had probably the worst Mexican dinner I can recall at any restaurant and I've eaten at 100s of em. First time driving by this place and feeling hungry I stopped in and looked at the decent menu. Haha, even checked the reviews on Yelp which was worthless.

Chile Relleno had no cheese stuffing in it and the chile pepper itself was bitter and too spicy, coated with a thin boring outside greasy crust. Plus, I paid $4 extra having it prepared that way which is usually fine. Chicken enchilada verde had zero tomatillo sauce and the chicken inside was tasteless. Rice was room temperature...beans were the only thing ok. Plus, an extra charge for corn tortillas on the side. Jesus!


Waiter never came back to check on my order until I was done eating the little bit I could and man, I told him everything that was wrong in quite animated terms. So emphatically awful that no charge was the solution, which was bad since I'd been hungry.

Turns out there's many average Mexican places in Colorado which is surprising but trues.
 
Pesto pasta with a crumbly Lancashire cheese rather than a feta. Feta doesn't really last that long once opened and it's hugely flexible for what we eat so I went with a crumbly salty Butlers Lancashire cheese instead. Worked out well.
