What are my options for rescaling a twisted/angled blade?

I am tidying up an old razor and about to rescale a blade that is twisted. Before I pulled it apart the toe was clipping the scale and now I can see why. What are my options? I believe that trying to bend an old blade is tricky as they can break. Is it possible to drill the holes off a bit to pull it straight? Or would sanding the inside of the scale to compensate be a better option? Or packing with a washer inside (possibly need a big washer)? Or opening up the scales a bit with a wider spacer at the end?

Try fettling the scales to fit. Don't try bending the blade, it will shatter as the steel is very hard but brittle. My best advice would be that if it's warped bin it. There are plenty of good razors out there going cheap!

Thanks, I plan to have a go at refitting and fettling before ditching it as I quite like the blade but not had a chance yet. Will update with results.

Updated to say that the peening part went well, the washer inside seemed to make it all work but instead of stopping when I should I carried on too far and ended up splitting the scale across the pivot hole. I have ordered a cheap pair of plastic scales to have another go and if that works reasonably well I plan to make my own from a blank of wood.
