Well said.
Definitely stick with what you have for circa 3 months before jigging about soap, brush & razor choices. I often travel & always found that my best shaves happened toward the back end of the week using the same setup consecutively.
I used a Proraso only for 6 months. It worked pretty well for me.Very sound advice. I have tried to follow this recently, using the same razor for a week at a time, and trying my best to stick with a soap for at least three days running. It definitely makes a difference.
I'm easily distracted though - "Oooh, maybe I feel like this soap or that soap or this soap or that soap today".
The irony of this for just about everyone on this forum is that we keep on buying more and more in search of better shaves, when if we all stripped it back to one razor, one blade, one soap, one brush, we'd probably find what we're looking for.
I used Nivea Sensitive ASB a lot and "despite" using it, I always got a rash after shaving.Really ref Nivea ASB? I'm not a massive fan, just wondering why?

The question was "what advice would you like to to have had"... and I wish someone had told me that Nivea sensitive ASB is the only substance known to shavekind that reliably gives me a rash.
The empty bottle is nicely opaque and I use it to decant some Cella Colonia Classica into it... Best I can say about itLikewise, horrid stuff... Thankfully I threw it away after half a dozen uses (Nivea.)
Maybe try a variety pack before you buy 100!
