I paid using Paypal.It's a shame they are one of the very small online companies that don't accept Paypal as a payment option otherwise I would have tried some. P.
Neroli Forte = TF Neroli PortofinoI remember Pocket Scents' first attempts, maybe two years or so ago, were not well received. They seem to have got it right of late and their scents are being highly marked on internet review sites. I think I might support my local business and try a scent or two from them. Since they don't publish the equivalency of their scents it might be useful to add this info, as far as we have come to know, to this thread
Neroli Forte = TF Neroli Portofino
Bloodaxe = Viking
Leather Essenza = Leather Ombre
W'Oud = Oud Wood
Imperial Oud = Bond No 9 Harrods Oud
Molecule Scent = Molecule 01
Royal Woods and Oud = Royal Oud
Italian Oud = AdP Colonia Intensa Oud
La Creme Tabac - Tobacco Vanille
Isles Vierge = Virgin Island Water
If you know any more, post them up!
Inspired by @Battersea Boy's post in 'Scent of the Day' I acquired a bottle of 'Lisboa' from Pocket Scents. It's their take on 'Bois du Portugal'.
I have to agree with BB - it is indeed a 'Banger'. I am able to compare it to the Creed original and I can tell a difference on side-by-side comparison in the first 30 minutes, but it is very slight - no greater than a 'batch' difference. After 30 minutes they are identical to me. I got Mrs Globalm to check them out and she detected a slight difference with a preference for the Pocket Scents version. She reckoned the real thing was 'sharper'.
Longevity was about the same, with both still detectable after eight hours.
Slight difference, yes, but maybe not worth the £100 extra for the original.
I'm wearing it today too!It really is great stuff and for £34.99 a no brainer for me.. .
It's better to comment on an older thread than to start up a new one if you can help it, saves on duplication of threads. Well done.Not sure if it’s bad etiquette to comment on on an older thread but I was wondering if people still held these fragrances in relatively high regard?
I’m not very experienced with fragrances but my interest has been piqued recently and I thought Pocket Scents might be a good way of trying some of the more notable niche fragrances, albeit clones. And I’d welcome advice on that idea too.
