Evening all, I have a Gillette Slim handle down that I would like to get restored. As am UK based would ideally like to get in done on these fair shores. Any recommendations ?

Unless it is a family heirloom that has great sentimental value I would highly recommend against it. Why, you ask?

1. you will never get your money back if you sell it

2. there are tens of thousands of other Slims available cheap in good condition.

Word to the wise.
 
I’ve had some excellent results from plating companies - at not too great an expense. The end result can be far, far better than an original.

@Doti B - I don’t know if they are still going but Alpha Plating in Sheffield did some razors for me a few years back - they specialise in musical instruments, therefore you can rely on the finish.
