£31.40 inc shipping which seems very cheap :)

My 1st badger brush, not sure if anyone else has had problems with Diamond Edges site but the order wouldn't go through in Firefox or Chrome but did when I used IE. It didn't like the Java settings in the others.

Jeltz...there's good reason why that brush is priced so competitively.

It's hardly got any hair in it so its as soft as shite, it's like dragging a used t****n across your face and equally unpleasant.

I had one and sold it pronto, honest.

David from DE processes the orders manually so it might not be too late, call him in the morning.

Something odd here?

I think so, some of DE's prices are a bit out of sync and Vulfix direct prices are even more excessive than even their own vendors.

They are selling the 404 mix in the US for $25.00.

And they don't get much finer than this...

Returning to the Vulfix, I have the 2234 Super. Its rather like the Kent BK4 in shape and size. It is not so soft and floppy as the Kent and performs really well. It has a soft feel to it but has the firmness to make it more versatile than the Kent.

I did some review searching before I ordered and although I found comments that it was a floppy everyone seemed to think it was either good or reasonable. Ratings of 92% on Shave Den and 91% on B&B. I don't doubt I'll get other brushes and thanks for your concern but I thought I'd give it blast.

Well its arrived. Diamond Edge don't have a pic on their site but I can confirm that it is the one Fido linked to and the box bears a sticker saying 2235s presumably s for super. Dry and new its not as soft as I thought it might be and I'll guess it would take a bit of usage to break in, so I'll let you all know what I think of it soon.

Any update? I want a brush for creams and this seems reasonably priced so it's on my shortlist - very varied opinions on it so I'm still in two minds between getting this and sticking to creams and bowls, or getting a do-it-all brush for a little more money.

I have little to compare it with but it it works well for me and I'm very happy with it. I'm happy that I got good value for money and having read reviews from other people on different forums it seems that I'm not the only fan!

However some find it a little floppy but I have no trouble getting a good lather from soaps or creams.

HTH

Nic

Cheers, it's staying on the shortlist then. Thanks for the reply, and it's good to know you can get it working with soaps, as it seems many people in internet land can't.
