When I bought the Red Vitos, they sent some Green Vitos as a gift/sample. To be honest with you the performance and the lather quality is same (at least from my experience), I used the same brush and technique and if both Green and Red were unlabelled and same quantity and in same type of tub and if I been asked which one is which by the lather quality, I won't be able to tell the difference.
I gave the Marco method a go,yes it makes good lather if you persist with stirring this soup but I much more prefer 'my' method.I've only used the Red Vitos and I've found it to be a superb soap for creating a lather I'd struggle to split in comparison to Cella and 3P.
I've found with these Italian croaps, using the 'Marco Method' creates more than enough lather for 3 passes without any trouble.

Wet but well squeezed brush on either boar or synthetic, a blob of cream or a swoosh of soap over the face and I go to town face lathering.
Add drops of water as and when needed, depending how thirsty your software is.
There is no mess and no wasted lather as in the fully soaked brush known as Marco's method, it's faster as well. Your kilometers may differ [emoji79]
Regarding Vitos, I've only used Red and found this was my favourite between Cella, 3P, Valobra and Antiga de Barber.
Used the red today and created an explosion of slick, cushioning lather in no time. Love using a big boar knot on it. Vastly superior to 3P for me and it tops Cella too. I simply bought a portion from those wonderful chaps at Gemstone Trading and when other shaving mediums go down, I can see me buying the big block.
You are welcome Bob. P.Well I received a generous portion of Red from Paul and have been using it frequently...I find it very hard to find a differrence, if there is one, it may be that the Red lathers ever so slightly quicker....but that really is too hard to call...also, it may just be a tad creamier/thicker in again a shorter time...but all this could be imagination, it is a fantastic soap and I would like to thank Paul again for giving me the oppertunity to try it and compare it.
Oh FFS! Whatever happened to, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?"Buy it now! The tallow versions are being replaced with a vegan formula this year.
All,
Just got some Vitos Red and Green any recommendations on storage?
Best,
Ben
