Looking for a mild vintage SE razor what would be recommended and what blades would be recommended. I tried one before I think it was an ever ready and was horrendous to shave with so passed it up.
Any advice
I would recommend a late model Schick injector such as a J, K or LModel. Better blade selection and just a better all 'round daily shaver + they can be found readily & cheaply.

I agree 100%, one of the best all around razors ever made! And there are plenty of them around for very little money. I use the GEM stainless blades exclusively.

Schick G, with Proline B20 blades. Easy to use, with the usual common sense. However, note the comments about the 1912s. The American made ones are a bit ‘milder' than their English counterparts; and they give great shaves.
