Yep, another example of collateral damage. This time it's old timey clothes for God's sake. The latest acquisition is a result of living in the past yet again.
In the 80s this brand was pretty popular and there were kinda upscale stores devoted to their stuff. Bought one back then at a San Francisco outlet and wore the hell out of it and now the name calls to me again. Yeah, needing a winter coat more for looks than function and here we are! Does have a decent liner but bought it mainly because of looks and nostalgia....heh.
Sooooo, maybe check out the vintage leather jackets on ebay......just an idea. No way I'd point anyone down another rabbit hole.....never. Like many interests there's some education needed to pick what's right. The brand and style and item description all take some kinda directional understanding, although it depends how important those things are. There's so many things for sale and some are crazy low because of one reason or another.Heh, maybe missing a left sleeve for example. I will say there's lots of sellers with 'best offer' next to a BIN stated price wise. Brings out the Jewish in me and lots of interesting items for $100 or less. Of course there's many with big tickets too if you know your old vintage brands. This one's an over 40 years old nice leather middle tier brand and is pretty clean and mostly free of rat turds in the pockets. Not received it yet but i'm optimistical about a rat free home provenance!
I'm guessing a few members already have some vintage/classic/old kinda clothes related jones...
Just peeking cautiously over the edge........sheesh:
