Well our soap druthers are mostly similar but the other items I don't have a reference point going in. Just so far removed from what I would ever think of using as a razor/brush combo.

Maybe you could explain the knot's attraction? Can't be comfort can it? Maybe it's fine I can't say. But jeez it looks backbony like and how would that be face lathering. What are the positives I'm missing. Gotta be a bunch from all the knots from that source being used here.

Does that razor weigh under an ounce......it's something that needs a bump up in whacking power besides it's own momentum or is that wrong. It's still a nice change and I'm being a dick. It's a nice looking set up. But that whole boar brush thing..... it's is something I never understood. I am willing to love them
That's a nice razor and brush, looks almost perfect. The brush looks a bit soft to me, maybe soaked too much?

It's a Semogue SOC @dodgy ... super soft! You're right @TobyC that it doesn't want soaking much at all. In fact, I don't. I wash my face (hot water only) and then when I'm ready to lather I'll put the brush under the tap and immediately wring out fully, then onto the soap for a good lathering. Too much soaking and the soap gets thin by the second pass. These Semogues work really well with vintage tallowate soap.
