It makes buying things from abroad pointless!! Frustrated moan over
I agree. And it's difficult to figure in the cost of the customs fees, a lot of the carriers seem to be a law to themselves and seemingly charge what they want for customs fees/handling fees.
There's a lot of shaving stuff that's only available in the US, that I would like to try, and while I can understand international shipping isn't going to be cheap, I think it should be a simply thing of, paying the tax rate from the Country you are ordering from, cost of item/s, shipping, and that's all.
If you're talking about soap, Maggard do economy shipping to the UK for $4ish and of the total cost comes in at under £15 HMRC leave it alone.
And my Maseto brush got through a few weeks ago. Cost £46 delivered.
Maggard also label goods as $15.95 (under a $16 threshold which they've found works for them). This is regardless of the packages' actual value. So $200 razors may also slip through unscathed.Thats good to know, thanks for the info
I've not seen any Maseto get stung for it personally. Same goes for YaQi brushes - I noted on my YaQi brush that it was listed as 'item value = 1' which (a) means nothing and (b) is difficult to place a value on.And my Maseto brush got through a few weeks ago. Cost £46 delivered.
You won't pay anything I don't think. The guy declared nothing haha. He's great .Hopefully not. I am waiting for one[emoji6]

nd it isn't the Customs / VAT bit that hurts, it's the £8.00 Royal Mail helped themselves to for their "service".
