UK based artisan soap makers?

Hi all!

We all know about our US cousins' soap makers. Mama Bear, Saint Charles, Honeybee, etc etc.

I love these soaps and love to support small businesses, however I would love to order some comparable products from a UK based soap maker.

Do any exist that make quality shave soaps?

I know Traditional Shaving has Mama Bears and SCS, but they're not the cheapest due to all the import duty etc, and they don't carry the full range.

Regards,

John

The Highland Soap Company makes a shaving soap - I bought one last July, but thanks to my MWF lasting way longer than I anticipated (and not wanting to have too many things open and on the go) I've still not tried it. www.highlandsoaps.com

I haven't seen many advertised online but I have chanced upon some in various gift shops, you know the tyoe at motorway service stations along the M6? lol.
I haven't tried any to be honest but did fancy having a go at making some myself. Can't be too difficult.....can it? Famous last words.

Paul sent me a spearmint sample with my last order, very nice stuff. Would highly recommend you try it. I am using up so many others just now but I would buy some more.

for some reason (i'll be wrong though) i think that's where Paul got his soap made (Highland soaps)

i was pleased with mine

Yes "The London turk" posted a review of this soap on B&B, I remembered because he posted a link in CONUK.

Seems that he rated it quite highly, he said they have an ebay shop but I couldn't find it.

£2 for a cake of soap, discount for additional items  I feel a group buy coming on.... :D
