The red handle doesn't have a black base. That would drive me mad.

The black one with the red base drove me mad, so I sold it. I kept the red and green. Never had a brown one ... or a blue one (coz that doesn't exist, but @TobyC wasn't biting)

I thought about getting another one and painting it blue just so I would have the only one.

It would indeed puzzle razor collectors! Well, maybe only one or two who might spot it as odd ... but it would niggle the heck out of them and they'd spend the rest of their lives looking

It's ouchyfoot over on B&B. By strange synchronicity, he contacted me the other day about the original AutoStrop 7 O'Clock. I guess he'll have all the detail and can perhaps give you more pictures.

It could, of course, be a very light damaged black handle.

What are you unpacking/ opening today, show pics or video, we love pics

I don't use it very often, only if I have any small nicks, cuts, or irritation. Some people use it after every shave, but I find it can be irritating, and I also rinse it off after a minute or two. yes i read some use it after every shave, i'll maybe do it that way for 3 or 4 shaves then...

I pried on my brown baton handle bottom with my thumbnail, not very hard as I didn't expect it to come off, but it came right off. Inside was loose black stuff, glue maybe, that was rock hard and brittle, and the inside of the handle was,... Blue!!! I'm not sure what this means, the brown is not paint

Perhaps lending some credence to my theory that the blue could be an evenly colour-decaying black handle?
