Your comment just reminded me of when I walked first section of the Camino de Santiago and you pass by a winery where there is a tap outside to get free wine .. you see people emptying water bottles to fill them up . Personally I had a drink out a cup I had but it was rough tasting wine so didn’t overindulge as still had a long walk ahead of me

I was camping in South of France in 1985 and not far from the campsite there was a stall at the roadside selling wine.
You could buy bottles from them or take your own bottle and they'd fill it. We established that by taking your own bottles it was cheaper to buy wine than milk.
