Tip for cleaning up plastic or acrylic scales

Just posted this in response to another query, but thought it was worthwhile posting separately for others.

I've used this technique on a few of my own razor scales recently and it works a treat:

Even though iv'e never seen this, I use the very same method even including Brasso metal polish, works a treat, you can also get the same result using Turtle wax safecut instead of the metal polish.

I use brasso on plastics.

I've use it on the plastic covered headlights on one of my cars. While it wasn't a total success it came out 100% better.
