Hi all
Thanks for all your help and advice sofar into my induction with straight razors. I have another question to ask,I have a work make who when he found out i was getting into straight razors offerd me a thistle razor that he had lying about the house any info on this razor would be welcome (ie are these razors made in glasgow or was it just a marketing ploy to get the scots shaving). when i get the razor will post pics to let you see it.

There was a Thistle Cutlery Co. in the US - New York - that made open razors.
There was another Thistle Cutlery Co in Fremont USA (could have been a branch of the above company, though).
There was a Thistle Razor Co. in Germany.
