the sound of shaving

My Edwin Jagger, Feather popular, and Gillette slim twist all sound very similar when cutting but my Futur and open razors have a distinct sound of their own.

Has anyone else notices that and what other razors have a sound of their own? (and I don't mean electric ones here )

I have one of these:

Only got two tracks on it so far. By Razorlight and The Cutting Crew. Any more suggestions? :D

Erm .................... any razor with Mama Bear soap ? They all just have that almost inaudible sibilant whisper bespeaking unimaginably frictionless gliding across the skin. ;)

Wide full hollows tell you how much beard you've got left. Trouble is, there's always a faint skritch skritch no matter how closely you've shaved, so you have to resist the temptation to keep going ... Also, Swedes seem to make a particularly satisfying noise.

Love the rasping sound of the Futur.

It lets you know when the angle is correct and you are cutting hair.

Aye, it certainly was a surprise when I started using mine.
