Anyone else seeing some really, really slow page loads today..?
Yep. I closed out about 30 eBay pages I had open. It helped. You should try it.
Enquiries by the admins reveal that a number of background processes on our server had, wrongly, fallen into the same time slot, resulting in a period of poor performance. This is being addressed.

Yup. From early hours Sunday to mid-morning roughly. If the techs are as good as their word, the unfortunate co-incidence should not arise again.I think the slowndown only lasted a few hours or so - all seems to be back to its snappy self
Must get a 'blush' smiley some time.The best thing is that a forum mod has explained the reasons to us, and the problem has been addressed.

Maybe if you have a look at this page, it might put peoples moaning and whinging about slow loading pages... into perspective.
