La mort de l'art.......I don't know much about art but if you had fun putting this theme together then it's been well worth it, far better than sitting on the sofa with your thumb up your bum and your mind in neutral! As I mentioned in another thread I have been working on the art theme of 'The Death of Art'. Mainly conceptual which I usually detest, but I have had some fun putting this one together.
L to R
Death of the paintbrush
Death of paint
Death of the palette
The explosive escape and subsequent demise of coloured pencils
You must die I alone am best (stolen lines from a song by the Bloodhound gang)
Any comments welcome even if someone just says 'they're shit'.
Thanks to riverrun for the hints and help to get the photo correct

You certainly have an artistic bent, I used to muck around with metal sculpture, just welding scrap bits of steel together into roughly recognisable shapes but was useless at drawing or painting. I would like to see more of you work...... If you don't mind . P.More my usual kind of work and a kind of Bauhaus approach. Approx 6ft x 5ft and based on three ladies I saw/met in a bar in Coatzacoalcos Mexico
Oh I can do that quite well
Good fun!
Conceptual stuff can come across as pretentious but these avoid that
I love your painting intitiled "The Beach" great colours, and now I see where your Avitar has come from, very good well done. Thanks your comments. I used to paint for the Stuckist Movement ( www.stuckismwales.co.uk - Chris Pritchard) who are totally against conceptual art and I thought this was an opportunity to have a little dig at conceptualism. However it kind of back fired against me and found I couldn't stop when the fun kicked in. That is me though.
Plans are to go back to my usual self once I have a few more ideas out of the head and on to the walls.
"The Beach"
The idea is interestingSeems some time since I updated here and the art has not stopped. Much like my shaving.
My wife recently bought me some more manaquins which in her words 'you can practice your figure drawing while away and not have them killing each other'
As if?

The idea is interestingI really like to draw! But I only draw with https://wowpencils.com/rotring-800-review/ which are unusual for drawing.
