I had the honour of meeting Lemmy many many years ago in the Marquee club in London, he even bought me pint of beer!
One of my work colleagues was a Motorhead roadie for a while and has some wonderful stories about Lemmy, who was truly a unique but wonderful and interesting person.
Thanks @Mr. Blonde - just ordered that book from not Amazon. 'White line Fever' - what else would Lemmy's autobiography be called? You say - 'His prose style is very anecdotal and flows effortlessly. Full of incredible stories.' no shit - I hope so. It's Lemmy. @Bizzyberry - a Lemmy bought pint is indeed a wonderful thing. Can I see you and raise you? - Antonio Banderas bought me and my partner not one but two gin and tonics in a bar in Malaga. I.
Excellent, you'll love it. Read it in a couple of days. You're right about the title, it was hardly going to called 'Afternoon tea with with Mr Kilmister'.
"BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it's due to rights issues." Holy cow! Maybe I'll have to explore the Disney Channel option to catch this one.
‘Anvil! The story of Anvil' documentary is well worth a watch. It really doesn't matter if you like the music. It's about (without getting too mushy) friendship and never giving up on your dreams. A sad, funny and surprisingly emotional film.
