Tabac Re-Formulated - Now Tallow Free

I’ve just ordered 6 of the Tabac shaving bowl refills at £4.99p each from Fragrance Direct .
I can’t tell if they are the old or new version , if they are the new version they will go back , but , that price is the cheapest I’ve seen .
I will report back when I receive them .

But assuredly you have used other "old school" tallow soaps and can make a fair judgment I'd like to think.

I've used quite a few tallow soaps before, but for me original formula Tabac seems packed full of the stuff.
I get that distinctive smooth, soft & almost oily post-shave feel for the rest of the day after using it.

Panicked, luv the Tabac stick so ordered a few from Amazon UK yesterday. Phew, the sticks that turned up are phatty.
Mind you I still bring out a full fat OG Penhaligons English Fern for a twirl every now and then. For the youngsters nope the reformualtion was shite, so much so they stopped making the EF entirely followed eventually by the rest of the range.

The scent difference (puck & stick) can be noticable, I even wrote to M&W and they confirmed the same stuff was in both. I could only conclude at the time that the stick container stops the soap from drying out as much and as a consequence knocks back the scent when it becomes hydrated. Got rid of my pucks, stick user only.

There you go , old formula full of tallow loveliness , £4.99p a go for the 125 gram refill puck from Fragrance Direct , free packaging and postage too , I’m well happy .

You were lucky! The first guy on B&B who got his vegan one bought his from that seller.
Where is the Tallow?!
A couple of sticks of Arko should smash nicely in the milk glass tub, eh? Perhaps we should stock up on Arko too, one never knows!
