EJ uses the same fibres as MÜHLE. I believe if your brush has the black fibre, it's a mid-low range fibre. It will do what you need it to but lacks the characteristics of the G4/G4 fibres. If your brush has the Silvertip fibre hair (i.e. it looks like badger hair), that is probably the best synthetic hair on the market today. I'd like to own a MÜHLE/EJ silvertip synthetic someday.
I've never tried a MÜHLE to debate this but my understanding is that the MÜHLE fibre is a G4 (the original) and is highly regarded by those that use them alongside the Chinese manufacturers. In 2014 yes, today no. It's Stone Age compared to current YaQi & DSCosmetics brushes.
How tastes differ. I used a 23mm MÜHLE almost exclusively for a long time.I had the Muhle 25mm but sold it on. Nowt wrong with it I just found it too big for me.
