Yes we must look on the bright side.......it could be worse....still don't understand VAT though.I hate it too but -
1. Like or not the customs fee is due to HMRC.
2. The private carrier firm pays the fee on our behalf.
3. They then recover the cost of the customs fee plus a charge for the service.
You can argue the fee is excessive (I agree) but in a free market economy it doesn't seem unreasonable.
You have to factor in the cost of the item plus shipping, customs and handling when importing from outside the EU. If it slips through then fantastic.
Look on the bright side in a couple of years EU purchases could attract duty as well.

It will be intresting to see if I get charged £8 RM fee for a packet of blades I bought from the U.S. for £8 including postage, and vat? Are razor blades a luxury item liabal to pick up vat? Is shaving a luxury past time ?If so then it is a mistake I will not make again but I will not be paying a £8 fee on blades that cost the same.....
Good news, thank youAlthough payable on everything I think they don't collect on items under £15 (incl postage) as it's not cost effective. You should be ok.

No, they're not tariffs, but fees in respect of a "service" provided. The Royal Mail was, for several hundred years (500, in fact) a department of government. In the last few years, it has gradually been privatised, with the government holding (originally a "golden share") reducing to nothing as of last year.I really am asking, not judging.... Are these fees protectionist type tariffs, or are they simple taxes being piled on?
I think you'll really like it, and look forward to seeing your comments on it.I will be picking up my v2 supply provisions single edge razor on Tuesday ,it's waiting at a local depot for me to pay £17.69 to release it from its bondage. I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to receiving this and in time for Christmas for it is one of my gifts to myself along with the shaving bowl, dish and some shaving soaps and a few EDTs / EDPs. Happy days
I'm sure I will, I love my v1 but I will be sure to let everyone know what I think of the v2 model, I don't know how much has changed, I think the surface finnish is slightly different and new packaging of course but I think the shave will be just as good as the origanal .I think you'll really like it, and look forward to seeing your comments on it.
View attachment 22754 I now have my supply single edge.....I hope everyone who haven't recieved there's yet will get it soon, well worth the wait
Yes they are wonderful razors, I have the v1 and enjoy the heft as much as I do with the Hone type 15, I enjoy using lightweight razors too but I do like a bit of weight in a razor! They are wonderful razors. It took a bit to get used to the weight.

Spot on, just like a stout DE, I couldn't have described it any better.I agree with this, because you use it like a stout DE as opposed to an standard injector like a Schick. It is a whole different shave, but an outstanding one.
An injector razor should weigh roughly 52.3g - buy a strange coincidence that's what my Bunny V3 weighs. Go figure...They are wonderful razors. It took a bit to get used to the weight.
