Supermarket Ripoff

Hey, as long as you're happy piggybacking on the third world and creating unemployment for future generations go for it.

How is it a rip off? They have business rates, rent and overheads, staff etc. Seriously?
They could throw a few crumbs to the shaving community to drag us in.
They obviously don't think we're big enough to consign loss leaders to
I find it amazing that Amazon has never made a profit
This really surprised me.
They have invested so much capital since their beginning as an online book store.
Where has the investment money come from if they weren't making profits?

There has already been a warning "salvo" fired across the bow by the Mod so we best avoid this topic.

Well their acquisition of Wholefoods must have brought some profit as their stocks increased? @wayne_m - this is allowing them to put shops on the ground, so they're aiming to wipe out bricks 'n' mortar shops... with their own! Similarly, they acquired PillPack and other major online pharmacies' values by around $15b, which is 15x the amount Amazon bought it for. I see that as profit, for sure.

Jeff Bazos isn't the wealthiest person in the world for nothing, is he?
