Dead or alive, what would be your supergroup?
Not only pick your favourite musicians, but try to think of a bunch that might actually have a chance of playing together ...
Vocals: Falco
Keyboards: Mozart
... I jest.
I'd go with Ginger Baker on drums, Jimi Hendrix on guitar and Lemmy on bass. All from the same era and same scene, Lemmy was even a roadie for Hendrix. Each of these guys at their peak could happily have played together.
Now, who to vocalise?
I'd go proper leftfield and slide Peter Murphy in. EDIT: Scratch that ... The Murph is fired! Kevin Ogilvie in charge now. As in Nivek Ogre from Skinny Puppy.
Being my thread, I'm going to add a second supergroup which could still happen ...
It's the present line-up The Sisters of Mercy with Lemmy. Eldo, who lost it years ago if he even had it, Ben Christo and Chris Catalyst on guitars and Lemmy drowning it all out on bass. Leave Simon nursing The Doktor (drum machine) and that would be perfect for me.
