It was so hot today, that I skipped all meals except breakfast- delicious croissants with French jam.
What are your summer foods? I was going to call it summer sandwiches as I usually cheat with a sandwich, a cooked regularly go to in the summer is my lamb Kofte on flatbread is still a sandwich.
So my future culinary adventures include the following;
Ham and Mustard
Rare roast beef and horseradish - rare roast beef is hard to find so will probably roast my own.
Ploughmans or Cheese and Chutney
Italian meats, I usually add Dijon mustard but I think this is sacrilege. I will have to try with Italian dressing or Balsamic vinegar.
BLT without the L. With strong English mustard and perhaps mayo.
Pork Rillettes with cornichons and Dijon mustard.
Maybe Egg Mayo, but that is so boring so probably with tomato and cucumber...
Wensleydale cheese with hot chilli jam...
