Straight Razor Shave of the Day

View attachment 84432
I posted this picture already on the weekly shave of the day but it should have been here really.

Pre: hot towel and Pears
Soap: Wickham Gothic Revival
Brush: Simpson Commodore best badger X3
Razor: ~1940s Fritz Bracht Tennis 5/8
Post: Wickham Gothic Revival balm.

Love the scent and performance. The balm smells strong enough that I didn't bother with splash. Good close shave, one or two patches of red from overdoing it, and a little sting from the balm as a result but now left with a 'face feeler' so happy days.
I've got a couple of these Tennis razors. Lovely little shavers!

Soap...Superfinico Vaseline (You know the stuff in the photo!?!).

Brush...The one in the photo! (Nothing fancy, tiz Badger hair though! Knowing my luck probably a tuft off it's arse!?!).

Razor...Now this IS fancy!!!...Thiers Issard Carbon Singing Hollow, Polished both sides with etching to side and spine as shown. Scales are Rams Horn.

Splash...What ever is in the cabinet??? Probably Listerine if i haven't put my glasses on!?!

A x3 pass and touch up left me with a very nice BBS! Nose and lips all flush and smooth now!?! Doctor says when the stitches come out I should be able to eat normally and reattaching the nose was a bit tricky due to the dog finding it before I did!?!
