Yes, there are two set apart at a angle, like a "V", the hair goes thro the foil and gets chopped by the blades, I imagine the blades are dull, but I tried it anyway, I could feel hairs being cut but there was massive pulling most of the time, that is my last attempt, I bought it as a curio, not for shaving.
