This shave featured 2 new purchases, which were waiting for me when I came home. I have @Ghostbuster to thank for inspiring the Pocket Edition purchase!

Neither product disappointed on my first use. This Pocket Edition felt milder than I remember my 1919 Single Ring Old Type shaves - it was more like my 1920s one - but still an efficient razor that benefited from taking my time. I think I deserve a pat on the back for having this shave while also holding a phone call (on speaker phone) by the way! No cuts or irritation either.

I’ve had another Zingari Man soap in the collection since late 2021 - The Wanderer - which I don’t use often but do like. I prefer the scent of The Magician though. The listed notes of it are Ivy, Petigrain, Mandarin, Orange Blossom, Rosewood, Cedar, Oakmoss and Vetiver. For some reason it gives me a not dissimilar vibe to a classic men’s fragrance - Aramis Devin, but without pine needles, leather and a few other notes. I like it very much!

The soap lathered very easily and there was a nice post-shave feel too.

THe D.R. Harris brush, soap and after shave were my first 'real' wet shaving purchases. Bought direct from the London store 25 years ago, and still great!
