SOTD : Saturday 5th June to Friday 11th June 2021.

10/6/21

Soap - Hampshire Wool Fat
Brush - Zenith Euro X
Razor - Old Type
Blade - Feather (2)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Signature Soaps Danum

Another great shave with the Feather, but I managed to pick up a little weeper, no result from applying a touch too much pressure.

As I was using the Cedarwood and Patchouli HWF soap (which is an excellent lather with it's tallow and lanolin, an excellent post shave too) I finished the shave with SS Danum splash. I forgot how superb this splash is, it might sit on the face better of all the post shave products I have owned.

I'm off for my second AZ vaccine this afternoon, it was less than 6 weeks since my first dose.

Have a good day gents.
Cheers, hope you have no after effects.

Happy Anniversary :)

PS-Aleppo Soap
Soap-Danum
Blade-Gillette Black
Brush-Trafalger T3
Razor-Nodachi OC*
AS-Barts Lime and a dash of Retinol

*I have this on loan and with the OC plate and the Gillette blade it performed well although amazingly noisy. Danum soap always in the first rank for results even though I’m not a member of the “wedding cake” school of lathering.

Nothing wrong with this shave at all but TGS soaps and splashes are beginning to bore me now. They do a job but that’s it. Sorry if that sounds dull gents.

Stay safe everyone and have a great rest of the day.

Ganders Goat Soap w/Hop, Sage & Birch
Tabac Original Shaving Soap
Yaqi Daffodil w/Cashmere Synthetic 24mm
Yaqi SE w/Windrose Darwin Handle
Cloud Super Stainless (1)
Tabac Original Aftershave

I'm turning my attention to a couple of Cloud blades that I have in ... this Super Stainless and the Bruce Lee.

Tonight, the Super Stainless which is certainly a sharp enough blade giving me my usual shave in one pass with a few touch-ups. It's not that smooth. Think Shark Super Stainless kinda harshness but certainly not as sharp; more akin to the Ladas or Rapira Stainless.

Good enough, though.

Prep: Shower pears soap and PAA cube.

Pre: PAA cube

Soap: Mike’s vetiver

Brush: Omega #625 silver tip badger.

Razor: Rockwell Model T

Blade: Polsilver

Post: Alum, Baxter’s aftershave balm.

Dialled it down to one and a half today, and finally feel I’ve tamed the beast. It really is a solid piece of kit. Today was smooth and sharp, and didn’t take a layer of skin off me! The Polsilver seemed to work best for me on this low setting and no weepers! I really liked the soap, a totally different smell to what I’m used to. The razor is a great piece of kit and has challenged me all week, but feel I’m just about getting to grips with it!
