I haven't Kevin. PM incoming.Mighty? Haha.
I find it efficient rather than aggressive. Have you tried it shimmed yet?
Good to see the hard as nails northerner and the soft pansy southerner stereotypes are still alive and well!Sotd - Thursday 9/11
Razor - Gibbs no.15 (2)
blade - vintage British made Star by Personna (1)
brush - Chubby 2 Best
soap - Williams Ice Fresh Menthol - Spanish
post - witch hazel
a/s - Artic Kinesia - Spanish
balm - Myrsol Emulsion.
Result - great.
Only 24 hours between shaves - not normal for me. I had to shave my head and had time on my hands this evening - so what the hell? When I rubbed my finger tips atg on my face I could detect some regrowth from last night - so entirely justifiable obviously. Nothing gratuitous about it. So - half way through lathering with the William's menthol cream - I realised - what the hell am I doing? It's Baltic out there tonight. This is no time for a face freezing shave - but, in for a penny? I was committed. @Barry Giddens used this recently for the first time and mentioned the coldness of the cream - and I thought - typical soft Southerner - ha ha - but no, he is right - I recalled the last time I used it, it was 30 degrees in the shade. Makes a difference in interpretation. With watering eyes and a running nose - finished up with more menthol products. I'd noticed a few Gibbs vintage in use this week - so had to get mine out again. It's a superb razor. One of my favourites. I feel refreshed - very refreshed. Smoother than a Chinese River Dolphin - job done. Enjoy your shaves gentlemen - cheers - I.
You didn't tell me you had a donkeywith my sister or her donkey!
Good to see the hard as nails northerner and the soft pansy southerner stereotypes are still alive and well!I dread to think what the average person thinks about a cornishman way down here in the south West, but I bet it's got something to do with doing unspeakable thing's with my sister or her donkey! P.
Ha ha, not as concerned as the donkey!Actually P. - despite the fact that you don't get much more southern than where you live - I would never class you as a soft southerner - quite the opposite. I'd include the south-westerners in this category as well - thanks to being a member of this forum - I learned the Welsh for happy birthday today. I'm sure B. will take my comment in the way intended. I'm a bit concerned about the donkey though? Yours - I.
You've surely gotta run out of Cetacea at some point.Smoother than a Chinese River Dolphin
It did make me smile Iain. Or rather, I would have smiled if my face wasn't still frozen.Actually P. - despite the fact that you don't get much more southern than where you live - I would never class you as a soft southerner - quite the opposite. I'd include the south-westerners in general - left of Offa's Dyke - in this category as well - thanks to being a member of this forum - I learned the Welsh for happy birthday today. I'm sure B. will take my comment in the way intended. I'm a bit concerned about the donkey though? Yours - I.
