Todays shave was scheduled with the 5/8th Wilkinson, however, i had an early morning Honing session with the French "Le Colon" to see if i could get an edge on it, after a bit advice from
@Fergiebilly, i took my time and spent a little more time on the 1K giving the razor more laps than i did the first time, i also checked with the nail test and hair cutting test, once happy i continued with the progression, on checking at the 3K i notice the toe was not right so went back to the 1K until the edge followed all the way through to the end of the toe.
Taking my time i took the razor through the full progression each time giving a few more laps than normal and was quite happy with the way it looked and felt, i decided to use it alongside the Wilkinson to compare my work as i know the Wilkinson has a very nice edge on it.
I used the Lea stick "Crayon style", just rubbing it around the face until there was a light covering, then with a face-full of warm badger whipped up a lovely slick lather.
I completed the first pass WTG with the "Le Colon", i was very happy with it, nothing like the last shave i had with it, a nice smooth pass, even over the chin.
I loaded the face with a little more soap from the stick and completed the face lather after a "tip dip", i really did not need the extra load, but hey ho.
The second pass with the Wilky was a touch smoother, so i have a little way to go, practice, practice, practice.
A very happy shaver this morning
Stay safe and enjoy your day All
