I did not have great expectations as a was shaving off a hard and short hair with almost no prep, and I just wanted to use the R89 which I regularly disregard in favour of my much more expensive and fancy razors.
Also, I was convinced that you need the super fancy soap to get a good job done.
Conclusion #1: a beautiful, comfortable and very close shave, BBS by all means.
Conclusion #2: why do I need fancy and expensive razors/soaps and why I keep thinking about the next one to get?

Gave myself a treat on the start of this Injector Rotation, as I used a fresh NOS Dutch Schick. The Shave with this quality blade was very smooth, and I had no problems getting a Top Notch finish.

Blade: 7o'C India Green (1)
Post shave: Cold water splash, TC's Infused Witch Hazel
Balm: Argan Oil & Arran soap Co. Lochranza
Aftershave: Arran soap Co. Lochranza
I know the Photo has a Polsilver in it, however, i decided to ditch it for an Indian 7 o' Clock Green and could not be bothered to do another photo.
A nice lather whipped up in the Bideford Pottery Bowl from the Taj Boar and Lochranza, plenty for 3 plus passes.
With the Rex set on #2.75 i set about the shave, basically chalk and cheese from the shave with the Polsilver, smooth as butter from the off, i completed a full WTG pass then a mixed pass targeting different areas according to growth direction, i finished with some buffing on the throat for a wonderfully comfortable BBS finish.
A nice post shave starting with a cold water splash and a witch hazel rub. Although my skin is feeling a bit better it is still dry so i mixed some argan oil with the balm for extra skin food, very nice.
I do enjoy the Arran products, not overpowering and really nice scents.
I think in the future i will just pass on using any more Polsilvers, its just not worth it for me.
