Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: M&F / Brad Forbes Finest Badger
Soap: Haslinger Honig (tallow)
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna Super Platinum Chrome (2)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: APR Ozymandias
A glorious lather was whipped up by the M&F brush, enhanced by the warm, comforting scent from the Haslinger soap.
I have shaved with most of the big hitters of the vintage blade club, and I must say that the Personna Super Platinum Chrome is up there with the very best. From my research, I conclude that this blade is the last of the the P74 line. From my shaving experience, it may also be the pinnacle of that line. Three stellar passes, and a few buffs courtesy of the excellent residual slickness of the soap, and I am BBS and grinning.
Good spot, Iain. Also a reference to the country of origin, I fancy.Good name for an after shave Tom - presumably a reference to the Shelley poem?
And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings;
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
Cheers - I.

A - yes Tom - of course! Blindingly obvious really - now that you point it out! Didn't clock the APR bit initially. Ha ha - yours - I.
Did the brush impress?

My first go with a Noble Otter soap and I enjoyed it, good cushion and slickness and maybe the residual slickness would've been there if I'd added a bit more water initially.
Post shave was also good but I'm definitely going to push the water next time to see if it gets better.
The scent on the other hand is an eleven, pity we can't get the splash over here.
Happy Shaving one and all.
