Prep: Shower, Palmolive Olive Oil Soap
Pre: Proraso Green
Soap: Proraso Green
Brush: Omega 49
Razor: 1960's Gillette Tech
Blade: Zorrik SP (2)
Post: Alum, Witch Hazel, Nivea Balm

No nonsense runaround today. The Zorrik is still not doing it for me - in fact I'd go as far as to say it made the Tech look bad. I'll break my own rule next week and put a Zorrik through a third razor - the Parker R22. If it's still poor, then PIF pile it will be. Life's too short and blades too numerous to put up with mediocrity ;)

TOBS Cedarwood Cream
RazoRock Plissoft 24mm synth
Face lather
Gillette New Improved (England, 1922)
Gillette Silver Platinum (1)
Thayer’s Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Fine American Blend after shave

A nice slow shave today. No choice, really; unless bloodletting is desired. The New Improved is a heavy razor (77g) and you can’t whip it round your chops with impunity the same way as lighter fellows. It has to be the weight used.

Smooth as you like. 2 passes and a wee touch up; feeling nearer to 3.

Ditch those horrid blades and load a Voskhod, Gillette Silver Blue or Platinum

Thank you Paul!

The CC bowl is a great bowl even though I have to adjust my technique :giggle: to keep the lather in the bowl!
Hi @Sig Solo,
Is yours the Ceramic copper version of the Captains Choice bowl ? it has a lovely rolled top edge.
Mine is the heavyweight copper bowl and the edge is not fully rolled as per photo below, Scott from CC sent it from the USA shop for me.

Today's shave with theme 'I just can't be arsed'

IMG_20210226_200741.jpg

 - Stainless Colonial General V2
 - Schick Proline
:censored: - Alpha Wickhams Artic Fox
 - Signature Soaps Hibernia
 - Abbate y Mantia splash

An early morning start and in need of some sleep so a quick fleeting visit and an even quicker bit of scribble.

Did it all work? Absofuckinglutely.

So a giphy of some lady knitting to keep things in the usual tone

And some Japanese ladies to rock your nads off.
