SOTD: Saturday 27 January - Friday 2 February 2024

Razor = Benny’s Of London
Blade = Super Iridium ( 2 )
Brush = PAA Solar Flare
Soap = A&E Socal Hipster
with matching splash.
Balm = ES Fragrance Free.

A lovely relaxing Saturday shave.
The scent on this soap is top drawer,
right up with the best of them but it’s more of a summer scent i guess.
The only reason i’m picking these soaps was due to being embarrassed by the amount i have so i stuck them in a random generator.
It’s the only way ill get round to using them
Well that’s the plan but that will change when i head to Africa in a couple of weeks.
The Razor Benny’s of London the wife bought me as my first Razor,
By all accounts it’s possibly a DE 89.
it’s ok definitely wouldn’t get rid due to it being quite sentimental.
Ok lads jobs done enjoy the rest of your weekend

Sat 27th January

Aleppo soap- Shave pre wash
Stirling Syn 26mm
MWF
Claymore Evolution original
Feather Pro ( 1 )
GB Grey Flannel A/S Lotion

As going for overnight stay,pushed the boat out and used a fresh blade though only five outings on the old one.Well these ones are quite inexpensive when purchased from a Barber supplier., and the quality of the Shave justified that decision. Feeling better now I have ditched new medication and using tried and tested alternative.

Greetings,

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

A very in-expensive eclectic shave set up where everything worked together wonderfully.

My focus with the Parker 55SL Semi-Slant has made me realise how much I like slant bar razors.

An acceptable close 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

went from the most aggressive razor I have yesterday (R41) to the least aggressive (mellon / double open comb) but it was actually less comfortable. I could feel some irritation during the shave itself. it could also be the blade since it was more tuggy but I think middle of the road razors with sharper blades might work best for me. when I use something like a tech, I wonder why I still keep these two around. I think I could just stick to a few razors with similar aggression and get comfortable smooth shaves every day without thinking about it. still going to give them another chance in a while but I suspect I'm getting closer to narrowing down to keeping three or four razors.
